A Demon Beast Digimon who lives deep in the woods and preys upon those who wander through them. This evil wolf-like Digimon was said to have been born from a collection of fairy tale data, and once it spots its target it never lets it of its sight, often taking on the appearance of a friendly being in order to deceive it. This wolf-like Digimon is a heresy amongst other wolf-like beings, and if Garurumon is considered an embodiment of light, it can be concluded that Fangmon is an embodiment of darkness. Its specialty is "Snipe Steal", which uses its sharp movement to steal weapons and items from its enemies. Its special attack is "Blast Coffin". (Wildermon)

森の奥深くに住み、迷い込んだものを餌食にする魔獣デジモン。数々の童話に登場する悪しき狼のデータがデジモン化したとも言われ、一度狙いを付けた獲物は決して逃すことなく、時には親しい者の姿にまで化けて近づくことがある。犬狼系デジモンの中では異端の存在であり、ガルルモンが光の存在であるとすれば、ファングモンは闇の存在である。得意技は鋭い身のこなしで、敵から武器やアイテムを盗み取る『スナイプスティール』。必殺技は『ブラストコフィン』。
